Features:
"An enchanting arched cove south of Capo Bellavista, made of fine sand of a color between silver and gold, set between smooth and almost flat granite rocks, on which crystalline and transparent waters of an iridescent blue color break for the play of light created by the sun. Porto Frailis is a small - about 200 meters of sandy shore - and beautiful beach just one kilometer from Arbatax, the port of Tortolì, reserved, protected from the winds and guarded by the tower of San Gemiliano. The clarity of the sea, sustainability and adequate services around it earned it the recognition of the Blue Flag of the Fee (Foundation for environmental education) in the three-year period 2016-18. The sandy bottoms, with some pebbly stretches, gently slope towards the open sea, contributing, together with the Mediterranean greenery that covers the surrounding promontories, to the feeling of tranquility and relaxation of this little corner of paradise in Ogliastra. There is no shortage of fun for lovers of water sports, including windsurfing and canoeing. On the beach you can rent beach equipment, pedal boats and jet skis. Nearby you will find accommodations, including well-equipped hotels and campsites, restaurants and night clubs. Porto Frailis is one of the many pearls of the Tortolì coast. The closest beach, on the opposite side of Capo Bellavista, is Cala Moresca, practically inside the town of Arbatax, protected by the famous Rocce Rosse, also composed of red porphyry rocks, mixed with granite ones, to form a set of homogeneous colors. It owes its name to the raids of Saracen pirates (is morus). Just outside the Ogliastra town a series of splendid beaches starting from Lido di Orrì, sixteen kilometers of coastline made up of inlets and deserted beaches, including Cala Ginepro. Continuing with the beach of San Gemiliano. Then you will find the white and soft sand, the smooth rocks and the emerald shades of Cea, over a kilometer long, three quarters in the territory of Tortolì and a quarter in that of Barisardo. At 300 meters from the shore, two twenty meters high stacks emerge: is Scoglius Arrubius, the symbol of Cea, reachable by swimming or by skating.
